Studio S reserves the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or cancel bookings where eligibility requirements are not satisfied.
4. Participation & Assumption of Risk
Participation in physical fitness activities involves inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, including the risk of property damage, illness, falls, loss of balance, muscle strains, sprains, fractures, cardiovascular events, and other injuries that may result from physical activity.
Participation in Studio S services is entirely voluntary.
Members are responsible for exercising within their own physical abilities and for informing Studio S of any medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy, physical limitations, or other circumstances that may affect their participation.
Nothing contained in these Terms replaces the Studio S Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk Agreement, which all Members must complete before participating in Studio services.
By participating in Studio S services, Members acknowledge that they are responsible for complying with all Studio instructions, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
5. Memberships & Class Packages
Studio S offers a variety of Memberships, Class Packages, Drop-In Classes, promotional offers, and other purchasing options.
Availability, pricing, inclusions, and benefits may vary over time.
Memberships
Memberships are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared, assigned, or transferred to another individual unless expressly authorized by Studio S.
Certain Memberships automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms or any applicable Membership Agreement.
Members are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and a valid payment method while a recurring Membership remains active.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, recurring Memberships require a minimum commitment period of [3] months from the activation date. After the minimum commitment period has been completed, the Membership continues on a month-to-month basis until cancelled.
To cancel a recurring Membership or decline its automatic renewal, Members must submit a written request to hello@thestudio-s.com at least [10] business days before the next scheduled billing date. Cancellation requests received after this deadline will take effect on the following billing cycle, and the Member remains responsible for any charges already processed.
Founding Memberships
Where offered, Founding Membership pricing is available only while the Membership remains active and in good standing.
If a Founding Membership is cancelled, terminated, expires, or otherwise becomes inactive for any reason, the Member permanently forfeits Founding Membership pricing.
Any future Membership purchase will be subject to the Membership pricing and terms in effect at the time of reactivation.
Membership Freeze (Suspension)
Members may request to temporarily suspend a recurring Membership for a maximum of [4] weeks per calendar year, subject to a suspension administration fee of $[25] CAD per request. Suspension requests must be submitted by email to hello@thestudio-s.com at least [7] business days before the requested suspension start date.
Class Packages
Class Packages are valid only for the period communicated at the time of purchase.
Members are responsible for using purchased classes before their expiration date.
Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by Studio S under exceptional circumstances, unused classes expire at the end of the applicable validity period and have no cash value.

Drop-In Classes are valid only for the booked class or as otherwise communicated at the time of purchase.
Unused Drop-In purchases may expire in accordance with Studio policies.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are subject to applicable Alberta legislation.

Transfers
Memberships, Class Packages, promotional credits, and other purchases are non-transferable.
Studio S may, at its sole discretion or where required by law, approve exceptions in limited circumstances, including documented medical situations or other exceptional cases.
Statutory Holidays & Weather Closures
Membership benefits and Class Package validity periods will not be extended or adjusted due to Studio closures resulting from statutory holidays, inclement weather, or other temporary closures, except where required by applicable law. If a scheduled Drop-In Class is cancelled by Studio S due to such a closure, the Member will receive a class credit to reschedule, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
6. Bookings, Waitlists & Studio Reservations
Studio S uses a Booking Platform to manage class reservations, waitlists, purchases, and Member accounts.
Members are responsible for ensuring that their bookings, cancellations, and account information remain accurate.
Booking Window
Certain Memberships may include additional benefits, such as extended booking windows, priority access to classes or waitlists, guest privileges, discounts, or other features. Any Membership-specific benefits will be identified at the time of purchase and may vary by Membership type. Studio S reserves the right to modify Membership benefits from time to time, provided that any material changes will be communicated to affected Members where appropriate.
Maximum Active Reservations
Members may maintain a maximum of ten (10) active class reservations at any given time.
Additional bookings may not be permitted until an existing reservation has been completed or cancelled.
Waitlists
If a class reaches capacity, Members may choose to join the waitlist.
When a space becomes available, eligible Members may be automatically added to the class through the Booking Platform.
Once a Member is moved from the waitlist into a confirmed reservation, all applicable cancellation policies and fees immediately apply.
Members are responsible for monitoring their reservations and waitlist status through their Member account.
Waitlist offers are issued only for openings that occur two (2) or more hours before the scheduled class start time. Openings that occur less than two (2) hours before class will not generate an automatic waitlist offer. If a Member is waitlisted for more than one class and secures a spot in one of them, the Member is responsible for removing themselves from any other waitlists, as the Booking Platform does not do this automatically.
Arrival at the Studio
Members are encouraged to arrive at least ten (10) minutes before the scheduled class start time.
Arriving early allows sufficient time for check-in, equipment selection, instructor communication, and preparation.
Grip Socks
Grip socks must be worn by all Members and guests while participating in classes. Grip socks help promote safety, hygiene, and equipment protection within the Studio.
Members who arrive without grip socks may purchase a pair from the Studio, subject to availability. Members who choose not to wear grip socks may not be permitted to participate in class, and their reservation may be treated in accordance with the Studio’s Late Cancellation or No-Show Policy, as applicable.
Late Arrival
To protect the quality, safety, and flow of each class, Members arriving more than five (5) minutes after the scheduled class start time will not be permitted to participate. This policy applies equally to all Members and will be enforced consistently without exception.
Late arrival does not exempt the Member from any applicable cancellation or no-show policies.
Release of Reserved Spaces
Reserved spaces may be released to another Member beginning at the scheduled class start time.
Studio S cannot guarantee entry once a reservation has been released.
Equipment Selection
Studio equipment is selected upon arrival at the Studio on a first-come, first-served basis.
Members may not reserve equipment in advance or hold equipment for other individuals.
Where reasonably necessary for operational, instructional, maintenance, accessibility, or safety reasons, Studio S reserves the right to assign or reassign equipment at any time.
Members may be held financially responsible for any damage to Studio Equipment resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow Instructor guidance.
Class Schedule
Studio S may modify class schedules, instructors, substitute instructors, class formats, operating hours, or Studio services at any time.
Reasonable efforts will be made to provide advance notice whenever practical; however, such changes do not entitle Members to refunds, credits, or compensation unless otherwise required by applicable law.
7. Cancellation, Late Cancellation & No-Show Policy
Our cancellation policy is designed to provide fair access to classes for all Members while supporting efficient Studio operations.
Cancellation Window
Members may cancel a reservation without penalty up to twelve (12) hours before the scheduled class start time.
Late Cancellation
A cancellation made less than twelve (12) hours before class is considered a Late Cancellation. The following charges apply:
- Recurring Memberships – $20 CAD Late Cancellation Fee
- Class Packages – One class will be deducted from the Member’s package.
- Drop-In Classes – The class will be forfeited.
No-Show Policy
A No-Show occurs when a Member reserves a class but does not attend and fails to cancel before the applicable cancellation deadline. The following charges apply:
- Recurring Memberships – $25 CAD No-Show Fee
- Class Packages – One class will be deducted.
- Drop-In Classes – The class will be forfeited.
Leaving a Class Early
If a Member voluntarily leaves a class after it has begun, the class will be considered attended. No refunds, credits, or replacement classes will be provided.
Studio Cancellations
If Studio S cancels a class, any deducted class credit will be restored and any applicable cancellation fee will be waived.
Studio S is not responsible for additional costs or expenses incurred by Members resulting from a cancelled class.
Exceptional Circumstances
Studio S may waive cancellation fees or restore class credits in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion. Supporting documentation may be requested where appropriate.
Repeated Policy Violations
Repeated Late Cancellations, No-Shows, or misuse of the Booking Platform may result in temporary booking restrictions, suspension of booking privileges, or termination of Membership.
Late Cancellation Fees and No-Show Fees are intended to encourage fair access to classes for all Members and are not intended as penalties.
Private Sessions & Workshops
Private Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge up to twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time. Private Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed entirely, will be charged in full.
Workshops, certifications, and other special events are non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
8. Payments, Billing & Automatic Renewals
Members agree to pay all fees associated with their Memberships, purchases, bookings, and other Studio services.
All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated and are subject to applicable taxes.
Payment Methods
Studio S accepts payment methods supported by its Booking Platform and authorized payment providers.
Members authorize Studio S to charge the payment method associated with their account for all authorized purchases, recurring Membership fees, cancellation fees, and other amounts owed.
Recurring Memberships
Recurring Memberships automatically renew according to the billing cycle selected at the time of purchase unless cancelled in accordance with Studio policies.
It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that valid payment information remains on file.
Failed Payments
If a payment cannot be processed, Studio S may:
- attempt to process payment again;
- temporarily suspend booking privileges;
- suspend or terminate Membership;
- require an alternative payment method before future bookings are permitted.
Outstanding balances remain payable until satisfied.
Pricing Changes
Studio S reserves the right to modify Membership pricing, Class Package pricing, retail pricing, service fees, and other charges from time to time.
Where required by applicable law, Members will receive appropriate notice before pricing changes affecting recurring Memberships become effective.
Refunds
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by Studio S, Membership fees, Class Packages, promotional purchases, cancellation fees, and other payments are non-refundable.
Chargebacks
Members agree to contact Studio S directly to resolve billing concerns before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback whenever reasonably possible.
Fraudulent or improper chargebacks may result in suspension or termination of Membership and recovery of outstanding amounts where permitted by law.
9. The Studio Experience
Studio S has been thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, welcoming, and elevated fitness experience. Every Member contributes to the environment we create together through respect, punctuality, kindness, and consideration for others.

Any individual who engages in such conduct may be refused service, removed from the Studio, have their Membership or account suspended or terminated without refund where permitted by applicable law, and may be prohibited from returning to the Studio.
10. First Visit
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Members attending their first class are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled class start time. This allows sufficient time to complete any outstanding documentation, including the Liability Waiver (if applicable), receive an introduction to the Studio and equipment, and ask any questions before class begins.
If you anticipate arriving late for your first class, please contact the Studio as soon as possible. Members who arrive after the required orientation may not be permitted to participate in the class if, in the instructor’s reasonable judgment, there is insufficient time to provide the necessary safety instruction. In such circumstances, the Member’s reservation may be treated in accordance with the Studio’s Late Cancellation or No-Show Policy, as applicable.
11. Health & Safety
The health and safety of our Members, instructors, staff, and visitors is a priority at Studio S.
